The YASA-750 Motor, 750Nm, 100kW peak performance

YASA-750 overview

The YASA-750 has been designed as high torque direct drive motor for sport car and racing applications. The motor outputs a very high peak torque (750Nm) and a high continuous torque (400Nm) in a lightweight package (25kg).

The motor can deliver up to 100kW of peak power with a top speed of 2000 rpm (higher powers and speeds possible above 380V). The motors can deliver a high continuous power of >50kW (1800rpm and 300Nm continuous, for example).

 

YASA-750 validation testing

The YASA-750 motor has been put through a series of automotive validation tests, these include:

  • 3 axis vibration (equivalent to 150,000 miles of operation)
  • Salt spray testing (equivalent to 150,000 miles of operation)
  • Humidity/cold dwell testing
  • Peak continuous torque endurance testing in a 65C chamber followed by -40C dwells
  • Many hundreds of hours of back-to-back rig testing
  • Many thousands of road and track miles
