Delta's E-4 coupe was lauched to a wide spectrum of automive journalists on the 9th of May 2011. Motoring journalists driving the 2WD Delta E-4 gave very positive reviews of the powertrain: “There’s a huge amount of torque, and it responds instantly and powerfully to every throttle input ” (What car); “it feels like a remarkably well finished powertrain, with crisp response and a smooth uptake of drive” (Racetech); “no jerky take-offs here, just seamless acceleration. Press hard on the throttle and the E-4 moves forward with considerable purpose.” (thegreencarwebsite).
The five Delta E-4 vehicles built to date are each using two YASA-750 motors (www.yasamotors.com/technology/products/YASA-750). The 4WD 'sports' version of the vehicle will accelerate from 0-60 in 4s and have a top speed of 150mph. Both of these figures being battery and not motor limited.
