Oxford University Energy and Power Group
The YASA™ motor technology was originally developed in the Energy and Power group at Oxford University. Projects, such as the LIFECar and Riversimple Urban Car were undertaken within an academic context. In September 2009, Oxford YASA™ Motors was created to commercialise the technology. Close links with the Energy and Power Group still exist, and a number of collaborative projects, such as the YAMOT project are currently being undertaken.
